A dedicated commercial steam equipment depot built for one purpose: depot repair. Not a side service. Not a handyman operation. A specialist shop.
Keystone Steam Service operates from our depot facility in Dushore, Pennsylvania. We are a dedicated commercial steam equipment repair shop — not a general HVAC company, not a handyman service, and not a parts reseller. We specialize in Reimers Electra Steam and Hoffman commercial steam equipment.
Our facility is equipped with the test equipment, tooling, and certified personnel to properly diagnose, repair, and bench-test commercial steam boilers and steam generators. Every unit that leaves our shop has been operated under load and verified to meet performance standards before it ships back to the customer.
We built Keystone Steam Service to serve the facilities managers, maintenance directors, and plant engineers who run commercial steam equipment in production environments. These are not consumer appliances — they're commercial-grade pressure vessels. We treat them accordingly.
Our depot facility operates under ASME R-Stamp Certificate of Authorization for pressure vessel repair — the recognized credential for this class of work.
The ASME R-Stamp (Certificate of Authorization for Repair) is issued by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. It authorizes a facility to perform repair and alteration of ASME-coded pressure vessels, including boilers, with the ability to re-stamp repaired vessels to confirm code compliance.
This authorization is relevant for any customer whose equipment must maintain its ASME code stamp after repair — common requirements in commercial, industrial, and regulated environments.
Keystone Steam Service is the operating brand of Keystone Steamer Service, a Pennsylvania registered fictitious name of UnityLab Corp. UnityLab Corp holds ASME R-Stamp Certificate of Authorization for pressure vessel repair under National Board jurisdiction.
Customer contracts under any of these names are legally with UnityLab Corp, which means R-Stamp authority covers all repair work performed at this depot. Keystone Steam Service services Reimers Electra Steam (a third-party manufacturer) and Hoffman (a UnityLab Corp portfolio brand) alongside other OEM lines.
Commercial steam boilers are ASME-coded pressure vessels. Repairs to pressure-bearing components require technicians who understand boiler and pressure vessel code — not general electricians or HVAC techs.
Every repair performed at our facility is documented. You receive a service report with your repaired unit — useful for your facility's maintenance records and insurance compliance.
We specialize in Reimers Electra Steam and Hoffman commercial equipment. When you send us your unit, it's worked on by technicians who know the product line — not a general shop seeing it for the first time.
We don't do on-site service calls. We don't sell equipment. We don't do general HVAC. We do one thing: depot repair of commercial steam equipment. Currently servicing Reimers Electra Steam and Hoffman, with additional OEM lines coming.
Depot repair is the service model used in aviation, medical equipment, and industrial electronics: you ship the failed unit to a specialist facility, we repair it in a controlled shop environment with proper equipment, and we ship it back fully tested.
This model works because our shop has test equipment, parts inventory, and diagnostic tooling that can't travel to your facility. We can apply load testing, run the unit at operating pressure, and verify every safety device — things that cannot be properly done in the field.
We launched with Reimers Electra Steam and added Hoffman as our second OEM line because specialization produces better outcomes. Understanding each manufacturer's product line in depth — common failure modes, part numbers, specifications, diagnostic patterns — means faster diagnosis and higher first-time repair success rates.
When a unit arrives at our shop, we've seen that product family before. We know what typically fails, where to look first, and what parts need to be on hand. That specificity is the difference between a 3-day repair and a 10-day parts chase. We plan to bring the same depth to additional OEM lines as we expand.
Our depot is located in Dushore, Pennsylvania — a small community in Sullivan County in the north-central part of the state. We are easily accessible by ground freight from major carriers (UPS Freight, FedEx Freight, LTL carriers) serving the entire United States.
We accept shipments via all major carriers. For large or heavy units, we recommend LTL freight with pallet shipment. See our FAQ & Shipping page for detailed packing and shipping instructions.
