Effective Date: These Terms of Service are effective upon commencement of commercial operations by Keystone Steamer Service. Please read these Terms carefully before submitting equipment for repair or using this website.
By accessing or using the Keystone Steam Service website (keystonesteamservice.com), submitting a repair request, or delivering or shipping equipment to Keystone Steamer Service for repair, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are acting on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use this website or submit equipment for repair.
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Keystone Steam Service website and depot repair services. "The Company," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Keystone Steamer Service, a Pennsylvania registered fictitious name operating as Keystone Steam Service, with its principal place of business in Dushore, Pennsylvania 18614.
Keystone Steam Service is an independent service provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by any equipment manufacturer, including Reimers Electra Steam, Inc.
Keystone Steam Service provides depot repair services for commercial steam equipment, with a specialization in Reimers Electra Steam commercial boilers and steam generators. Our services include but are not limited to:
Services are performed at our depot facility in Dushore, PA. We do not perform on-site field service. All equipment must be shipped or delivered to our facility.
The standard repair process is as follows:
You are solely responsible for properly packaging and shipping your equipment to our facility. Keystone Steamer Service is not responsible for damage that occurs during inbound transit. We strongly recommend insuring your shipment for its full replacement value and retaining tracking information.
We will document the apparent condition of equipment upon receipt. If equipment arrives with damage beyond what was described in the repair request, we will notify you before proceeding. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions or damage not disclosed at the time of the repair request.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer and will be included in the final invoice. Risk of loss for outbound shipments transfers to the Customer upon delivery of the equipment to the carrier. We recommend purchasing return shipping insurance for equipment with significant replacement value.
If equipment is received in a condition that poses a safety risk to our staff or facility, we reserve the right to refuse service and return the equipment to you at your expense.
We may charge a diagnostic fee for inspection of equipment when no repair is authorized or when equipment is found to be beyond economical repair. Any applicable diagnostic fee will be disclosed in our preliminary estimate or upon receipt of equipment.
Written estimates are valid for thirty (30) days from the date issued. Labor rates and parts pricing are subject to change after that period.
Labor rates are set forth in the written quote provided for each repair. The rate in effect at the time of your repair authorization shall apply to your job.
If we determine that equipment is not economically repairable, or that the cost of repair would exceed a reasonable fraction of replacement cost, we will notify you. You may authorize us to proceed, decline the repair, or request return of the equipment. A diagnostic fee may apply.
No repair work will be performed without your explicit authorization. Authorization may be provided by email, written acceptance of a quote, or other written confirmation. Verbal authorization alone is not sufficient. We will not proceed with work that materially exceeds the authorized amount without obtaining updated written authorization.
By providing authorization, you represent that you are the owner of the equipment or are otherwise authorized to approve repair work on it.
Our standard repair turnaround is 5–10 business days from the date equipment is received at our facility and a complete diagnosis is performed. Turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees. Actual turnaround may vary depending on parts availability, equipment condition, and current service volume.
We will communicate expected completion dates and notify you promptly of any significant delays. Keystone Steamer Service is not liable for losses arising from repair delays, including but not limited to lost revenue, equipment downtime costs, or consequential damages.
Payment in full is due upon completion of repairs and before equipment is released for return shipment. Equipment will be held at our facility until payment is received.
We accept payment by major credit cards, ACH bank transfer, and business checks. Personal checks require a clearing period before equipment is released. Additional accepted payment methods may be communicated at the time of invoicing.
Invoices unpaid beyond thirty (30) days from the date of invoice may accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) on the outstanding balance, or the maximum rate permitted by Pennsylvania law, whichever is lower.
If collection action is required to recover amounts owed, you agree to pay our reasonable attorneys' fees and collection costs in addition to the outstanding balance.
If you decline a repair quote and do not arrange return of your equipment within thirty (30) days of our notice, a daily storage fee may apply. Equipment that remains unclaimed after sixty (60) days of notice may be deemed abandoned and disposed of or sold to recover outstanding diagnostic and storage fees, in accordance with Pennsylvania law. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before any disposal.
Keystone Steamer Service warrants the specific repair work performed — including parts supplied by us and labor — against defects in parts and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date the repaired equipment is shipped or returned to you.
This warranty does not cover:
To make a warranty claim, contact us at support@keystonesteamservice.com within the warranty period. We will assess the claim and, at our sole discretion, repair or re-repair the affected work at no charge, or issue a credit toward future service. The Customer is responsible for shipping costs to return equipment for warranty service.
The warranty remedy described in Section 11.3 is your sole and exclusive remedy for any warranty claim.
EXCEPT FOR THE LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH IN SECTION 11, ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT REPAIRED EQUIPMENT WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT REPAIR WILL EXTEND THE USABLE LIFE OF THE EQUIPMENT, OR THAT THE EQUIPMENT WILL OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR ERROR AFTER REPAIR.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages; in such jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Keystone Steamer Service and its owners, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of any repaired equipment; (c) any third-party claims arising from equipment we repaired at your direction; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
